I love to learn. I love to share what I have learned with others and help them on their learning path. I love to research family history and genealogy. I love old things and have more books than clothes. I love languages and cultures. I love the thrill of a challenge and the brief moment of triumph when I have accomplished a goal or project. I am a recovering perfectionist, but have never been perfect. I am a mother, a daughter, a sister, a friend, and a product of both my environment and experiences. I value and respect the worth of individuals. I am a family historian and genealogist.
I have been told that I don’t take easy paths…..I guess I relate to the poem by Robert Frost, The Road Not Taken:
Two roads diverged into a wood, and I — I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference.
We can all look back at choices and wish for a redo with things we have done; however, a different choice would make us into someone different altogether. Regrets are better served when we use them as learning and growth opportunities. May we all spread our wings and take flight into new adventures.
